Welcome

If you enjoy the the wind on your face and open sky before you, you have come to a good place to find the romance and flavor of the West.

Let's Get Off The Merry-Go-Round

Friday, the end of a beautiful fall week, even if it is the 13th. I plan to go out, examine my flowers, and contemplate what could be done to help them get ready for winter. Notice I said contemplate, not that I plan to actually do any work among the last of the blooms and leaves. And I’m aware that it is in the passive voice.

I’m feeling lazy today, contemplative, reconsidering. I find that it is useful occasionally to get off the merry-go-round and look at my activities. After a busy week with lots of appointments and plans, what did I really get done? Many good things such as made a living, which seems to be very important to my various creditors; enjoyed time with friends, always refreshing to my spirit; spent time in worship which is good for my soul. But some things just didn’t get done. Car needs washed, house needs cleaned, desk needs cleared, activities that can wait until next week. Its nice just to give myself permission to go with flow for the rest of the day and enjoy the blessings God has surrounded me with.

Hope you can do the same.
A J

Yes, that's the plan for the day, the weekend.

So many things to do, but today, I think I'll just love my family, praise God for my children, with with hubby and torture him with chick-flicks, LOL.

Have fun contemplating your garden, AJ.

BTW, what did you grow? This year, we were only successful at potted tomatoes, and basil. My orchids are dying off, by we've moved them and hopefully they won't be so neglected.

About Me

My photo
I love the wind in my face, the open sky before me, the romance and flavor of the West, but, most of all, our loving and living God, who created it all. I love how He works out His plans in the realm of human events, which is His Story. I have been blessed with a gift: a compulsion to write Historical and present-day novels set in the American West that demonstrate His power to transform ordinary people into true heroes and heroines. I am just a scribe really. I find the joy of participating in the creation of inspirational fiction indescribable. May our Lord Jesus Christ receive all of the credit and be glorified.
